Easy lesion reaching

The combination of Avion Plus proximal Hypotube (2.0 F) design and the special TAP (Tapered coaxial) distal shaft construction eliminates typical jump in push and torque transmission occurring in conventional Hypotube design.

This progression from pushability to flexibility in the distal shaft, one of the keys of success for an easy lesion reaching and crossing, is obtained with a defined and tested thickness tapering in the distal shaft from the hypotube end down through the catheter tip.

This maintains the flexibility of the very distal part of the catheter without compromising the overall pushability. As a result optimal push and pull control is guaranteed. Highly stable coaxial joint between the hypotube and the distal shaft provides optimal torque control. 

Easy lesion crossing

Sub occlusive and CTOs stenosis, tight, hard and calcified lesions are easily crossed by Avion Plus thanks to:

  • New softer tip with 0,017'' entry profile (O.D.)
  • Lowest in class effective crossing profile with optimal balloon re-wrapping for subsequent lesion treatment in multivessel disease with one single balloon
  • LFC Hydrophilic coating in the distal shaft
